A Better Way
Dec 1 2008, 12:12 AM EST
Bravo Eric on this "Journey Christians" piece. It is so important that we learn how to live and walk together without trying to strong-arm each other into walking just as we do. This presents practical ways of making this happen. The points about allowing others to experience God on their own terms and the need for empathy over pity are particularly powerful for me. If we Christians could use this model, we would see so much more peace within the Body of Christ. Earl 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Bravo, as usual, Eric!! If everyone would just give others the respect they deserve to live their lives, it would be a better world.

So finally had the time to ready your post Eric. Besides the fact that i love you writing I think what you wrote is very important. The Secretary General at my organisation says that "all journeys are a detour home". He refers to this in another setting than they A/B/X setting, but i still thinks it applies (he has also had a journey towards being affirmative here, but that is for another thread). We all have a journey, just not the same way and to the same destination. It's is part of growing as humans. And we should applaud those journeys as it is healthy to question and challenge the standing. And most people i know comes out of a journey with a more open mind and more passionate approach towards other people and to God. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
