What else you should know about me: A formerly gay married man who has been out (again) for five years, and who ended a twenty seven year marriage just over a year ago. I have two children, a son 22 and a daughter 19.

I moderate a yahoo group for gay married men called ozmarried gays as well as being on the national committee of Australian Marriage Equality.

The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir, that I sing with, last week staged an opera, Purcell's The Fairy Queen (what else?!), the first opera staged by a gay and lesbian choir in the world.

I am comfortable with how my being gay fits with my Christianity which has a moderate Anglican flavour (as distinct from the Sydney diocese flavour) and remains strongly informed, in a positive way, by my Roman Catholic upbringing.
