I am 28, Afro German, lesbian and a follower of Christ. I am a graduate of Villanova University with a Master of Arts in History - focus in Atlantic World, race and gender. I am blessed with my dream job - director of development at a Philadelphia non-profit. We provide hope, love and support to refugees and other immigrants striving to build new lives in America. I speak regularly on ethnic/cultural diversity and transnational race relations. I am an advocate for LGBT rights and Gender equality. I am passionate about strengthening relationships between Afro German and Black German communities in the United States and the Europe, as well as facilitating capacity building among other groups working to eradicate racism for all People of Color. I speak fluent German, love to read, spend time with my family and friends, and travel.

Hey there Kathrin! My name is Joy, and I just joined this community. As an advocate for LGBT rights and gender equality, and as a follower of Christ, do you have any friends, acquaintances, or community connections here in the SF Bay Area? I'm excited to finally find others who relate to being at the collision point of "Two Worlds", and have found a way through it. There are very limited to nonexistent resources for women in the Bay Area who have had a positive experience in an ex-gay ministry, but who found it insufficient to resolve their conflict. Do you have any connections and/or referrals for one such as myself? I suppose I should ask Eric himself, but since you are a woman who is active in both her church and gay communities, I thought I would ask you first.
